Conference on Random Matrix Theory and Numerical Linear Algebra

  • Start Date: 06/20/2022
  • End Date: 06/24/2022

University of Washington

The Conference on Random Matrix Theory and Numerical Linear Algebra will take place June 20-24, 2022 at the University of Washington in Seattle. The conference aims to bring together researchers from areas such as random matrix theory, numerical linear algebra, mathematical physics, randomized algorithms, high-dimensional statistics, optimization and theoretical computer science to discuss recent developments and cutting-edge techniques. We are particularly interested in having attendees and speakers from one area who may have less exposure to other areas.

Topics to be considered include the average-case behavior of numerical algorithms, random perturbations of matrices, random graphs, randomized algorithms, matrix concentration inequalities, floating-point behavior of algorithms and many, many more.

In addition to a week of research talks, this conference will feature minicourses by Ioana Dumitriu (UCSD) and Sean O'Rourke (CU Boulder) and a poster session. While speakers are selected by invitation only, attendees are encouraged to apply to present a poster within the registration form.
