2018 Combinatorial Potlatch
Topic
2018 Combinatorial Potlach
Details
The Combinatorial Potlatch is a one-day combinatorics conference that has been held annually for 35 years, intended primarily for researchers in the Pacific Northwest region. The usual format is three invited talks by speakers who are visiting or new to the area, with plenty of time for informal discussion between sessions. Participants typically continue their conversations over dinner at a local restaurant. Attendance varies between about 45 and 80 faculty, postdocs and students. The continued participation of the combinatorics community in this annual event, with many driving for 5 or more hours in order to attend, is testament to its success.
