  • Start Date: 07/10/2016
  • End Date: 07/15/2016
Location:

University of Victoria

Description:

The International Biometric Conference scientific programme is made up of three main components: invited sessions, contributed papers and short courses. Invited sessions for the conference have been selected. Seventeen (17) invited sessions will be presented at the IBS and these sessions are now posted on the website. The deadline for the submission of short course proposals has ended and four very exciting courses will be offered on the Sunday prior to the start of the IBC. The list of confirmed short courses is posted on the website. The call for contributed paper proposals is open to both members of IBS and non-members. The deadline for submissions is 6 January 2016. Showcase sessions and special sessions organized by WNAR will also make up the scientific program. The mission of the IBS is “to promote the development and application of statistical and mathematical theory and methods in the biosciences, including agriculture, biomedical science and public health, ecology, environmental sciences, forestry, and allied disciplines.” Contributions at the conference are therefore welcome across a wide range of both methodological topics and application areas relevant to the mission of the IBS. We encourage both IBS members and non-members to submit a proposal for a contributed session.
