Connections in Discrete Mathematics Conference
- Start Date: 06/15/2015
- End Date: 06/19/2015
Simon Fraser University
Discrete mathematics plays a central role in modern mathematics. This is in large part due to the work of Ron Graham. His work has spanned over five decades and includes over 300 published papers, 5 books, countless talks and editorial assignments, service as president of the AMS and the MAA, and the many connections that he has made in the mathematics community. His research encompasses number theory, graph theory, discrete geometry, Ramsey theory, combinatorics, algorithms, and more; often revealing surprising interconnections between these topics. To celebrate the life and work of Ron Graham, this conference will bring together prominent researchers in number theory, graph theory, combinatorics, probability, discrete geometry, and so on, to explore the connections between these areas of mathematics. In addition to plenary and invited talks we will have contributed talks. We particularly encourage graduate students and early career mathematicians to participate.
