The String Math Summer School is aimed at advanced graduate students and postdocs interested in geometry related to physics. This summer school is intended to be a good preparation for attending the Math-Strings conference in Alberta in the following week.

Accommodation:  

Undergraduate, Masters and Phd Students are encouraged to stay at the Gage Tower Apartments. These offer rooms in a shared apartment. These price friendly rooms are suitable for discussions, networking with peers and are located next to university transit. However, all options are listed below. 

 

**Place Vanier- Pacific Spirit Hostel:  Beginning at $33CAD per night, UBC's Place Vanier is an undergraduate first year residence on campus  and open to the public. Each room is private with shared bathrooms and a TV lounge on each floor, Bedding and linen are provided. NB: this option is the farthest from the transit loop, but a  5 minute walk to the workshop venue. Booking and Information here

 

** Gage Standard or Premium Single Rooms: Private bedroom with single bed in a six-bedroom shared apartment. Guests share a washroom, lounge with flat-panel TV, breakfast bar and kitchen (not equipped with dishes, cookware, etc.). A full continenetal breakfast is provided with this reservation.
