Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences - PIMS

We would like to welcome you to the Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference for 2012, whch will be held int he beautiful Okanagan Valley at the Unviersity of British Columbia's Okanagan campus. The goal of the CUMC, Canada's premier undergraduate mathematics conference, is to showcase undergraduate research in mathematics related fields. Not only does this provide a great experience in attending a national conference for our student participants, it is an opportunity for the next generation of mathematics talent to network and share ideas as they begin their research careers. The CUMC is the largest event of its kind in North America, and attracts well over a hundred students from across the coutnry, bringing together the diversity that underlies mathematics research, including fields such as pure and applied mathematics, physics, economics, bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, mathematical finance, and actuarial science. Any student in a mathematics related field is invited and encouraged to attend, participate, learn, gain experience, be inspired, and make connections that could last a lifetime.
