Topic:

Multi-scale Computation and Analysis for Parabolic Equation and Wave Equation in Composite Media

Description:

Multi-scale asymptotic methods are investigated for the parabolic equation with rapidly oscillating coefficients arising from heat transfer in composite or porous media. For the dual-phase-lag heat transfer model in composite media, we first applied the Laplace’s transform and the multi-scale method is developed for the steady equation. The inverse Laplace’s transform is then used to obtain the multi-scale asymptotic solution for the original problem.
