PIMS First Year Interest Groups are reading groups lead by a PIMS Postdoctoral Fellow, centering on an accessible subject for beginning graduate students.

The PDF will lead a small reading group (typically up to 4 students) of early year graduate students on books/papers that inspired them, and, of course, are accessible to early graduate students. The PDF should plan to meet with their group for an hour once every two weeks through the academic year.

If you are a PIMS Postdoctoral Fellow and are interested in leading a FYIG, please complete the form below with details of your project. Projects will be evaluated by the PIMS Directorate and selected projects will be advertised to prospective students at the beginning of the academic term.
