Alberta Mathematics Dialogue (AMD) 2026
Topic
The Alberta Math Dialogue (AMD) is an annual meeting of mathematicians in Alberta. It started in 2001 and took place yearly except during the COVID pandemic. It attracts undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs and professors. High school teachers also attend the meeting often. It is the third time the meeting will take place at MacEwan University, in Edmonton.
This meeting is a rare and much-needed event that brings together high-level research in mathematics and in-depth discussions of education in Alberta's post-secondary institutions. More importantly, AMD serves as a platform to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion by addressing the barriers encountered by individuals from historically underrepresented groups in mathematics.
