M2PI Case Studies Virtual Seminar: Dylan Loader

In this talk, I'll share my experience transitioning from a sub-par academic background in pure math to a career in Applied Statistics. I'll discuss the internships I've had and how they provided a foundation for my current work. I'll walk through concrete methods I used to find opportunities after moving to Calgary for school, despite having a weak academic record. I'll also share how I made the most of each internship, even in cases where there wasn’t a strong fit, and how my background in math and stats allowed me to excel anyway.
