Canon is a theoretical physicist who is currently a PIMS Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta. He received his PhD in physics from Johns Hopkins University in 2021 under the supervision of Professor Yi Li working on quantum phases of matter. His research interests include topological states of matter, hyperbolic geometry, superconductivity, superfluidity, and mathematical physics.
