Dr. Frank Morgan, (Williams College, USA) PIMS Distinguished Visitor, Geometry & Harmonic Analysis Collaborative Research Group

Location:

Topic:

The idea of putting a density on a manifold has appeared throughout mathematics, recently in Perelman's paper on the Poincaré Conjecture. The prime example is Gauss space: R^n with Gaussian density. Despite interesting progress, the geometry of manifolds with density remains largely unexplored.

Schedule:

Thursday, September 25th , 2:00-3:00pm
