Scientific Summer School Events
PIMS annually sponsors scientific Summer Schools, which take place at the sites of member institutions and partners, but which can be located at other places as well. PIMS Summer Schools are either targeted towards graduate and postdoctoral students or towards undergraduates. Students can apply for financial support by following instructions at the websites of specific Summer Schools.
Summer Schools convey the excitement of new progress in the mathematical sciences. The objectives are to train and attract new students and to help recent Ph.D students make the transition to independent research. The attendance of senior scientists is also very much welcomed, but they are generally ineligible for support.
