June 6-8, 2004
Westin Whistler Resort and Spa,

Location

Whistler Village

Whistler Village began as a ski resort, but has evolved into a year-round destination. It is located 120 km (about 80 miles) north of Vancouver and is about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive. Whistler is 600 metres (2000 feet) above sea level. The central area of Whistler village is a pedestrian concourse, and is accessible by foot from most hotels. As well, the resort has a free shuttle bus service.

The setting, surrounded by mountains, with Whistler, Blackcomb, Wedge, Rainbow Mountain, and others nearby, is spectacular. The village has 80 restaurants, spanning the full range of prices and food choices. Activities in June include skiing, hiking, mountain biking, golf, river rafting.
