The Alberta Colleges Mathematics Conference will give you a chance to meet with colleagues from Alberta’s post-secondary institutions primarily to discuss teaching, technology, and curriculum, and to share perspectives on experiences and common interests of mathematics in Alberta.
The Alberta Colleges Mathematics Conference meets Friday, May 2, from 9 a.m. until about 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a dinner Friday evening. There is no registration fee this year as PIMS has offered to sponsor this event.
This conference presents talks about the teaching issues specific to the colleges and their math course offerings. Details of the talks and presentations will follow. There are still openings on the schedule and we strongly encourage all participants to consider giving a talk.

Registration and most meals are provided free of charge. There will be a dinner Friday evening at a location to be announced. There is some funding for accommodation. The Friday night banquet is free to delegates and additional tickets can be purchased for $20. each.
The North/South Dialogue, also sponsored by PIMS will take place Friday afternoon, May 2, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., running concurrently with the Colleges Mathematics Conference. This year we will feature two parallel sessions: “Algebraic Topology and Algebraic Geometry” and “Financial Mathematics.” Program details will follow.
