Industrial Program
The Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) and its partners are committed to connecting the public and private sectors to the expertise in mathematical sciences research at the seven Alberta and British Columbia universities with the public and private sectors. These bridges are built with events such as the Industrial Problem Solving Workshops and Graduate Industrial Mathematics Modeling Camp. The IPSW and GIMMC apply the latest advancements in the mathematical field to current, real-world issues in industrial processes. The PIMS Geomathematics Programme applies mathematics to topics such as seismic imaging through a variety of events, including summer schools, cross-industrial meetings and industrial short courses.
