CINVESTAV
Cinvestav was created in 1961 by presidential mandate as a decentralized institution. Eighty nine percent of the faculty are National Researchers (SNI–Sistema Nacional de Investigadores–members), and it is the only institution in Mexico that has all its graduate programs recognized as quality programs by Conacyt (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia). Over 10% of our faculty has received the highest national award in science and technology.
The mission of CINESTAV is to:
- Perform world-class scientific research,
- Train scientists of the highest leve, and
- Develop technology to solve strategic national problems.
