Calgary Youth Science Fair is open to students in grades 5 to 12. The mission of the Calgary Youth Science Fair Society is "to promote an appreciation for scientific principles and method in the youth of Calgary by means of an annual science competition". Every year approximately 800 students from schools in and around Calgary gather
to take part in Canada's largest science fair.
The 2012 Calgary Youth Science Fair will be a special one, as we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary this year. It will also be special because we are moving to a new venue this year - the Olympic Oval at the University of Calgary.
