No perfect state transfer in trees with more than 3 vertices
The adjacency matrix A of a graph G is the Hamiltonian for a continuous-time quantum walk on the vertices of G. If u and v are distinct vertices in G, we say perfect state transfer from u to v occurs if there is a time t such that the (u,v)-entry of exp(iAt) has absolute value 1. In this talk, we show that the only trees that admit perfect state transfer are P_2 and P_3. This is joint work with Gabriel Coutinho and Emanuel Juliano.
A recording of the talk will be shared on the main website. You may email the speaker for their slides.
The 05C50 Online is an international seminar about graphs and matrices held twice a month on Fridays.
Time: 8AM Pacific/10AM Central
