Important Information:


  1. • For the speakers there will be projection, computer, microphone etc. Speakers can either use their own computers, bring a USB stick or send their presentation to both Farokh Mivehvar (f.mivehvar@ucalgary.ca) and Ehsan Zahedinejad (ehsanzahedinejad@gmail.com). If you choose to send your presentation, please do this 24 hours in advance. In order to avoid any problem with powerpoint slides (which is common) the PDF format is very desired. Please send your presentation in the following format: Firstname_Lastname.pdf.

  2. • Poster session and Reception will take place in MacEwan Hall on June 11 (7:00 - 10:00 p.m.) (see TC10MAP and Escalus-CassioAB).

  3. • We have reserved a side on a 4’x8’ poster board for each presenter, so your poster can be any size or orientation you wish as long as it fits the board. Please contact Gilad Gour at gour@ucalgary.ca in case if you have any questions about the room or the local printing facilities.

  4. • The tickets to the banquet will be provided (to those who registered for the banquet during the online registration), as a part of the welcome package (outside of ICT121 on June 11, 4:30 - 5:00 p.m., and  June 12, 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.).

  5. • Conference banquet will take place in MacEwan Hall on June 12 (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.) (see TC10MAP and Escalus-CassioAB).

  6. • There will be bus transportation to Edmonton provided for participants of Congress of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) on June 14. Bus from Calgary to CAP in Edmonton will be leaving at 9:30a.m. from the back entrance of Hotel Alma (University Court NW)  (see TC10MAP)

Theory Canada 10 is the tenth of a series of annual conferences organized by the Division of Theoretical Physics (DTP) of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP), as a satellite conference to the annual CAP Congress.

The motivation for such a conference is to enable researchers to get together and interact with their colleagues from across Canada as well as from across the spectrum of theoretical physics. Geographic separation and sheer distance are formidable barriers to collaborative research and to a fruitful exchange of ideas. Theory Canada will bring together a large cross section of Canadian theoretical physicists who can report on their activities annually. We hope furthermore that the conference will provide a useful forum for discussion of the state of and the future of Canadian theoretical physics
