Description:

This workshop is a joint activity between the Atlantic Algebra Centre and the Network of Ontario Lie Theorists with the focus on modern develop-
ments in the theory of group actions (gradings on algebras, actions on lattices and varieties) and its applications (polynomial identities, representation theory and Schubert calculus).

The workshop will run for 4 full days and will feature a unique combination of several introductory mini-courses, research-level talks and short communications by young researchers. Besides the mini-courses, we plan to have 12 one-hour talks (7 by established researchers and 5 by young researches) and 8 short 30-min talks by postdocs and graduate students.

Organizers:

Yuri Bahturin, Memorial University of Newfoundland

Mikhail Kotchetov, Memorial University of Newfoundland

Hamid Usefi, Memorial University of Newfoundland

Kirill Zainoulline, University of Ottawa
