I grew up on the beautiful island of Cyprus, in the east Mediterranean. I moved to Germany at the age of 20, where I obtained my diploma in physics and a bachelor's in mathematics. During my short stay in France I not only discovered my great love for mountains, but also for mathematical biology. Those are my two reasons for being here at UBC, a great place to explore both of my passions. With Prof. Michael Doebeli, I am currently working on mathematical models for speciation and biodiversity dynamics.
