Wednesday, May 13, 2009, afternoon: Excursion to the Valley Zoo

There will be a guided tour - focussing on the zoo's red pandas - starting at 15:00 that will last for about 45 minutes. Our interpreters(s) will be waiting for us at the curb of the zoo's main parking lot.

If you don't have a car, you have two options to get to the zoo from campus:

• Take the bus: The zoo is serviced by bus route 112. A convenient connection is as follows: take route 4 at 13:44 from the university to the West Edmonton Mall; there, take route 112 to Capilano, which should arrive at the zoo at 14:27. The fare is $2.50 - exact change is required -, and you have to request a transfer from the driver when boarding the first bus. (For further bus connections, see here.)
• Enjoy - weather permitting - a walk along the North Saskatchewan River, which should take you between 90 minutes and two hours.
