The 2011 Canadian Workshop on Information Theory (CWIT 2011) will be held from May 17-20, 2011 in Kelowna, British Columbia on University of British Columbia Okanagan campus. This year, the Canadian Society of Information Theory (CSIT), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and Pacific Institute of Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) will jointly sponsor a one-day School of Information Theory in conjunction with CWIT 2011 on May 17. We are happy to announce that Mung Chiang from Princeton University and Syed A. Jafar from University of California, Irvine will be the inaugural instructors for the first Canadian School of Information Theory.
