Mathematics and Farm Science Senior Summer Camp

The Summer Camp will run Monday to Friday for 6 weeks from Monday, June 30, until Friday, August 8. Children will learn Math for 2 hours Monday through Thursday, and will be on the Farm for 3 hours daily. Your child will be considered a volunteer at the farm and will engage in the same activities as the other farm volunteers.

 

Description: 

Our goal is for the 10th and 11th Graders to prepare for principles of Math 11 and 12 and for the 9th Graders to go into principles of Math 10.

 

Our goal for the farm is to provide exposure to basic Farming as well as high levels of Research and Agricultural Sciences.

 

Children will be supervised the entire day. They will receive breakfast and lunch daily as well as a stipend of 125.00 a week, but they MUST attend EVERYDAY to receive any portion of the stipend.

 

We will meet every morning at the PIMS UBC Site Office located at 1933 West Mall. You will pick-up your child in the afternoon from the UBC Farm. We will provide students with bus passes for the entire span of the camp.

9:30 am - 10:00 am Breakfast

10:00 am - 12:30 pm Mathematics

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm Lunch

1:30 pm - 4:30 pm Farm

 

 

Friday

9:30 am - 10:00 am Breakfast

10:00 am - 12:30 pm Mathematics

12:30 pm - 1: 30 pm Lunch
